
Ingredients:
2 C flour
2 c sugar
6 T cocoa
2 t baking soda
1/2 c oil (5 T)
2 t vanilla
2 T vinegar
2 C water
nuts if desired
For best results sift first 4 ingredients together. Then add last 4 ingredients. Batter will be runny, not to worry, this is normal. Bake in a greased & floured 9x9 pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Variations: I don't use vanilla - vanilla is of the devil in my family - we use almond flavoring instead. And we don't grease & flour pans... especially for chocolate cake! Instead of flour, use cocoa, way better.
